Quik Budget for Multicurrency Account Manager

A Quick Overview

Working together with Max Edelman and Alex Choukhman, authors of Multicurrency Account Manager or MAM, we have created a special version of Quik Budget with integrated MAM support. It works with MAMEasy or MAMPro 2.0 and later.

You no longer have to choose between MAM and Quik Budget. Using this version of Quik Budget, everytime you create a transaction, you can choose a MAM account and Quik Budget will automatically create a record in MAM as well. If you later edit the transaction in Quik Budget, it will be changed in MAM and your MAM account balances will be adjusted properly. The combination of these two programs is very powerful. MAM effectively becomes an account module for Quik Budget and Quik Budget becomes a budget module for MAM.

This is currently a one-way street. If you modify transactions in MAM, the corresponding transaction in Quik Budget is not updated. Max and Alex plan to add Quik Budget support to MAM in a future version.

What exactly is MAM and where do I get it?

MAM is an account manager for the Palm Connected Organizer. It allows you to enter financial transactions on your Palm handheld by account rather than by category. For more information about MAM please see the MAM Suite home page.
